Camden Lions Club Help Meet AIO Efforts
For the past 26 years the Area Interfaith Outreach (AIO) has been a program in progress in providing help for the people in need in our area. The AIO meets needs for food assistance, at times emergency home heating needs, and is now working with over 300 school children receiving food for the week end through their “Weekend Backpack Program”.
The Camden Lions Club was pleased to help in AIO’s efforts. For more information on the AIO good work please see www.aiofoodpantry.org.

Camden Lions Sponsor Camden Hills Regional High School Ice Hockey Team
The Camden Lions will provide sponsorship this season to the CHRHS ice hockey team through a full page ad to be featured in the team's official 2016-17 program.
The ad features images from 2015-16 season victories en route to a playoff run that extended through to the semi finals. The sponsorship is of particular importance in that ice hockey is one of the sports programs not fully funded at Camden Hills.
Home games are played at the Midcoast Recreation Center on Route 90 in Rockport. CHRHS ice hockey games make for a fun and exciting outing -- be sure to dress warmly. Get information on Facebook at: Camden Hills Windjammers Ice Hockey.

Lions support “Night Sight” for LifeFlight of Maine
The Camden Lions Club recently presented LifeFlight of Maine with a donation of $2,000 to help purchase night vision goggles.
LifeFlight implemented night vision goggles on its two helicopters several years ago, greatly improving the safety and reliability of all flights after dark, which make up about 40% of the organization’s total transports.
Carter Duke, the young man in the accompanying photo, was a recipient of LifeFlight’s services when he wasn’t even a year old—lifeflighted from Pen Bay Medical Center to Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Camden Lions and Five Town Football Install Village Green Christmas Trees
On the morning of Saturday, November 26 the Camden Lions continued the practice of installing Christmas trees on the town’s Village Green. Assisted again this year by parents and players of Five Town Football the Lions erected five trees and adorned each with festive lights. Great job in making small work of a big, and very visible, holiday project.
Becoming a Lion is easy. Our club is for all service-minded residents of Camden, Rockport and Lincolnville.
